Old or New, Your Home Needs Protection - Look Into Home Security Systems

Building a new home? It's never too soon to start thinking about home security!

Two disorganized criminals in Virginia recently drove their pickup truck out to a new-home site with the intent to steal a refrigerator.

They damaged several walls along with the floors as they took the fridge out of the house and loaded it into the back of their pickup. When the truck got stuck in the mud, they decided the appliance was just too heavy and, causing further damage to the home's interior, took the refrigerator back into the house. Freeman Institute crime reporting states that when they returned to their vehicle, the guys realized the keys were locked inside.

Rather than figuring out how to get into the truck, retrieve their keys and leave, they instead abandoned it. Obviously it didn't take police too long to figure out who created all the mess and property damage.

Had the owner or builders have made a very affordable investment in a home security alarm system, they could have been forewarned of the break in and it's likely the crooks would have been frightened off before they were able to mete out all that destruction.

Having surveillance cameras let you catch any untoward activity on video too (just in case your vandals are smart enough to take the get-away vehicle with them).
