There is a variety of ADT-monitored home security equipment, from the sensors to the detectors and everything in between. With it comes a slew of questions about installation, moving, and costs. Luckily, Safestreets can answer all of your equipment questions so you can protect your home without any lingering inquiries.
Does Safestreets remove equipment after cancellation?
SafeStreets has the right to remove the equipment from your home after cancellation, but that doesn't mean they always will. If you're canceling your service because you're moving, they can opt to keep the equipment in the home where it's installed. If you are moving, you can take the service with you, which might also mean taking the equipment with you. Call and see what options are available if you're moving to a new home and want to keep your service.
How much is SafeStreets equipment?
Every piece of equipment from SafeStreets varies in purpose and price, from cameras to sensors and smoke detectors. Luckily, when you get an ADT-monitored security package, you can add as much as you'd like while knowing the price as you go. Do I own my SafeStreets equipment?
You're technically renting the equipment unless you pay for it upfront. If you move into a home that already has the equipment installed, you will just pay for the monitoring services, and the equipment is yours.
Can I use SafeStreets equipment with Ring?
No, as of 2020, ADT does not support Ring device monitoring. But, we have partnered with Google to bring you the Google Nest Doorbell (battery). Like the Ring, the Nest Doorbell offers night vision, people alerts, and package detection, so you know who's at the front door at all times. Add a Nest Doorbell to your home security system for complete front door coverage when you get an ADT-monitored security package.
How to uninstall SafeStreets equipment.
We wouldn't recommend uninstalling the equipment yourself. We can send professionals to help you remove the hardwired SafeStreets equipment if you would like. You can always keep your equipment installed so restarting your ADT monitoring service can go smoothly. If you're not planning on ever reactivating your ADT monitoring service, call us, and we'll hash out the details of removing your equipment from your home.
